How to block apps on your phone only at bedtime

How to block apps on your phone only at bedtime

CrenelView lets you block your whole list of apps during hours you choose, instead of all day. Turn on scheduled blocking, set a start and end time such as 20:00 to 07:00, and every app you have ticked closes itself automatically once that window begins, then works again on its own once it ends. No reminder, no second step, nothing to undo the next morning.

How do I set a bedtime block on my phone?

Tick the apps you want blocked, then choose the scheduled-hours option instead of blocking all the time. Set a start time and an end time, for example 20:00 to 07:00, and save it. From that point on, every app on your list follows that same schedule without you touching it again each night.

Does the block turn off by itself in the morning?

Yes. Once the end time arrives, every app on your list unblocks itself automatically. You don't have to open CrenelView, flip a switch, or remember anything at 7am. The same thing happens in reverse at the start time each evening, whether you're there to see it or not.

Can I still let my child use an app during blocked hours if I need to?

Yes. Tap 'Allow for a while' and choose 10, 15, 30 or 60 minutes, and every app on your list opens again for exactly that long, even during blocked hours. It locks itself back up automatically once the timer runs out, so a late video call with grandma doesn't mean rebuilding your whole schedule afterward.

Can I block some apps only at bedtime and others all the time?

No. Blocking is one schedule for your entire list, not a mix of rules per app. Every app you've ticked follows the same choice: blocked all the time, or blocked only during the hours you set. Wanting some apps gone all day and others just at bedtime means treating those as two different decisions, not one list.

What happens to the apps I have not blocked at all?

Nothing changes for them. Only the apps you've ticked follow the bedtime schedule. Everything else on your phone, calls, messages, your camera, anything you didn't select, works exactly the same at every hour of the day.

One schedule, set once, and your evenings stop being a negotiation.
